How would you describe yourself? I am empathetic; I can easily relate to other people. In the last few years, I have been told by important mentors in my life that I have a healing spirit. I just really enjoy caring for others!What do you do when you aren't volunteering?When am I not volunteering, that is the real question! Hahaha! I like to read my Bible and books that talk about personal growth and leadership. My most recent book reads are Can’t Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy The Odds by David Goggins and The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. I also enjoy taking walks at the park and shopping.If you could change the world, what one thing would you do?I would end world hunger and make sure each person had all their basic needs met.Is there are particular moment or memory during your volunteer experience with YWCA Dayton that stands out?Each time I had the opportunity to volunteer at Women of Influence -- I have an absolute blast every time! I love greeting all the great people and companies who come together to support YWCA Dayton and getting to make new friends.How has this volunteer experience changed you?I am naturally introverted, so this volunteer experience challenged me to get out of my comfort zone and put my empathy and natural ability to connect and relate to others into action.
